AN EX VIVO ORGAN CONDITIONING Technology DESIGNED to Expand tRANSPLANTATION OPPORTUNITIES
Targa’s TBM-005 is being developed as an ex vivo additive to preservation and perfusion solutions designed to support the quality of high-risk donor organs prior to transplantation, with the goal of expanding transplant opportunities.

Rescue more organs.
Save more lives.
The organ rescue challenge
to the transplant list
for an organ

Organ quality, not donor supply, limits transplantation.
After circulation stops, warm ischemia can initiate cellular stress and injury that may continue during organ recovery, transport, and reperfusion.
Donation after Cardiocirculatory Death (DCD) organs are often underutilized because of warm ischemia, time-to-recovery constraints, and quality concerns.
Current preservation and perfusion systems help assess organ function, but additional tools may be needed to better support the quality and use of DCD and other high-risk donor organs.
Introducing
The organ-conditioning layer for the next generation of transplantation
Targa’s solution
TBM-005 is an ex vivo organ-conditioning additive for preservation and perfusion solutions
It is designed to support organ preservation and functional assessment by helping address cellular stress associated with ischemia-reperfusion injury during ex vivo organ handling.
Device-agnostic and temperature-flexible, it integrates directly into existing workflows with no new equipment or procedural changes.
Applications
Expanding what’s possible in transplant and regenerative science
